Hey there, this is Jenn!

I’m Jenn Yu, the artist and surface designer behind The Intended Space, based in Hong Kong.

I create art as a soothing escape, aiming to share that calmness and sophistication with others. This is why my works often use muted colours, pastels and earthy tones.  Although many of my designs are created digitally, they mostly originated from paintings using traditional mediums, such as acrylic or gouache, or simple black ink sketches in my sketchbook.

I’m passionate about licensing my art to companies in the stationery, gift packaging and home decor industry. Helping them create products that add a touch of softness and femininity to their customers’ everyday life is my ultimate goal. You can find my art on products like stationery, partyware, gift packaging, fabric, and more

My biggest inspiration comes from my two children. Their magical imagination sparks countless ideas during our storytime together. Unboxing product samples with my little fans in my cozy home studio brings me so much joy. I believe art is contagious, and I want everyone who uses products featuring my work to feel that same sense of joy and delight.

All works from The Intended Space are designed by me! My designs are available for art licensing.

Have an idea/ a project in mind? Send me an email and let’s brainstorm it together!
